Reviewed and updated September 21, 2026

SmartReach.io prices cold email by the prospect: its pricing page opens with "No per seat pricing. Pay for what you use." Instantly prices by the email and the uploaded contact, and gives every plan unlimited email accounts and unlimited warmup. On list price SmartReach.io is the cheaper of the two at every contact tier the pages publish, from $29 a month against $47. What the cheaper plans leave out, and which counting rule suits how you send, is what decides this pair.

    What is SmartReach.io?

SmartReach.io is cold email and multichannel sales engagement software. Its site describes unlimited sending inboxes, inbox rotation with ESP matching, free email verification and warmup, and campaigns that run email, LinkedIn, calls and WhatsApp from one place. It has no per-seat pricing: plans scale by active prospects, starting at $29 a month for Email Outreach Basic.

Two ladders sit on one pricing page. Email Outreach is the cold email product. Sales Engagement adds calling seats and LinkedIn seats, and it is the tab the page opens on, so the first price a visitor sees is Sales Engagement Basic at $39 a month. The FAQ puts the split plainly: the Email Outreach plan is for businesses focused on cold email campaigns, while Sales Engagement covers email, calls and LinkedIn automation. A fuller breakdown of both ladders is in the SmartReach pricing guide.

Its warmup is counted in accounts per plan (10, 25, 75, then unlimited), and the FAQ says SmartReach.io provides email warm-up via warmuphero.com. Its own guidance on volume is specific: the FAQ says you can send up to 200 emails per day from one email account, advises no more than 40 per day per address for deliverability, and suggests spreading sending across 5 to 7 mailboxes per domain. The Sales Engagement comparison table sets its own figure, a max of 50 emails per day per email account on Basic and 100 on the other plans.

Does SmartReach.io have a free trial?

Yes. SmartReach.io offers a 14-day free trial, and its FAQ says it does not ask for payment information at signup. During the trial you get the features of the Sales Engagement plan and can reach up to 200 prospects. When the 14 days end you move to a paid plan to keep using it; the pricing page lists no free plan.

The 200-prospect ceiling is the part to plan around. It is enough to test deliverability and copy on a real segment, and too small to judge reply volume, so choose the segment before the clock starts.

    What is Instantly?

Instantly is a cold email platform whose Outreach plans all include unlimited email accounts and unlimited email warmup, with the price set by the emails you send a month and the contacts you upload. It sells its lead database, which the pricing page calls a "Database of 450M+ B2B Leads", on a separate Instantly Credits tab, and its top self-serve tier, Light Speed, adds the SISR (Server & IP Sharding and Rotation) system of dedicated server and IP blocks. Calling seats and LinkedIn seats appear on SmartReach's Sales Engagement cards and on none of Instantly's Outreach cards. Readers weighing Instantly against a sales engagement suite will want the separate Instantly.ai vs Outreach.io comparison.

The entry plans are the fairest place to start, because they are where the two pages differ most in what a dollar buys.

SmartReach's Basic card buys twice the monthly emails for $18 less, and it also carries the limits that explain the price: 1 user, no inbox rotation, no ESP matching and no integrations, all of which arrive on Plus at $89. Instantly's Growth plan has no such cut: unlimited email accounts and unlimited warmup are on it, and the cap is volume.

Add-ons include extra active prospects at $79 a month per 30000, client dashboards at $29 a month per client, and LinkedIn automation at $29 a month per account. SmartReach also sells infrastructure: a domain at $5 a month and a mailbox at $4 a month.

Instantly's page disagrees with itself on Hypergrowth's volume, so plan on the lower 100,000 figure until Instantly confirms which applies. A tier-by-tier walk through what caps you on Instantly covers the rest of its ladder.

    Cost by list size

The fairest like-for-like is the number of people you plan to reach, because that is what both ladders step on. Instantly counts uploaded contacts; SmartReach counts active prospects, which its FAQ defines as the individuals you have touched through its outreach tools. The table below prices four list sizes on monthly billing. The sizes are illustrative, chosen at the published tier edges.

    People a monthSmartReachInstantly
    1,000Basic, $29Growth, $47
    25,000Plus, $89 (covers 50,000)Hypergrowth, $97
    100,000Pro, $199Light Speed, $358
    500,000Scale, $499Enterprise, custom

Gap on the first three rows: $18, $8 and $159 a month in SmartReach's favour.

The cheapest plan that covers each illustrative list size: SmartReach Email Outreach against Instantly Outreach, monthly list prices.

SmartReach comes out cheaper on every row where both publish a price, by $18, $8 and $159 a month. The gap narrows to $8 at 25,000 people because that is where Instantly's Hypergrowth and SmartReach's Plus overlap, and it widens at 100,000 because Instantly's jump from $97 to $358 is steeper than SmartReach's from $89 to $199. Two cautions keep the table honest. The two counting rules differ, so a list of 25,000 uploaded contacts is not automatically 25,000 active prospects. And Instantly's price includes unlimited warmup for every inbox, while SmartReach's Plus includes 25 warmup accounts, so a team warming many inboxes is buying something on Instantly that SmartReach sells in steps.

    What each tool lists

Each vendor describes its product in its own words, so a capability one lists can exist in the other under another name. SmartReach's plan cards and "All plans include" list add free email verification, a task manager, A/B testing, a do-not-contact list, inbox rotation, a mobile calling app, open and click tracking, Zapier integration, prospect timezone sending, advanced reports and workflow automation, and its pricing page names a sending holiday calendar that pauses campaigns on recipient holidays. Instantly's plan comparison lists advanced warmup capabilities, advanced sequences and scheduling, email and account analytics, a global block list, A/Z testing, reputation protection and bounce detection, API, webhooks and integrations, and Unibox, its shared inbox.

SmartReach's page is not fully consistent with itself. Its Basic card reads "No Inbox Rotation" and "No Integrations", while the "All plans include these benefits" list names inbox rotation and a Zapier integration, and the FAQ says CRM and Zapier integrations are included on every plan except Basic. Read that as: on Basic, confirm with SmartReach before relying on either.

Both vendors sell follow-up sequences. RevenueFlow's own campaigns send one message per campaign with no bumps or thread replies, so for a team that works that way the sequence builder is not what decides this pair.

    Integration ecosystem

Integration flow: Integration Ecosystem (Instantly, SmartReach.io, HubSpot, Salesforce)

SmartReach's FAQ names native integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM and Zoho Recruit, plus over 8,000 apps through Zapier, on every plan except Basic, while its add-on list prices CRM integrations at $29 a month per CRM. Instantly's integrations marketplace, titled "50+ Sales and Outreach Integrations", features HubSpot, Slack and Zapier, with partner tools such as Findymail and RB2B. A team whose system of record is Salesforce or Zoho will find those names on SmartReach's pages and not in Instantly's featured list; a HubSpot team is covered by both.

Instantly or SmartReach.io: who should pick which

Decision path: calls or LinkedIn, warmup volume, list size Need calls or LinkedIn too? Yes SmartReach Sales Engagement from $39 No Warming more than 25 inboxes? Yes Instantly warmup unlimited on every plan No Reaching 25,000+ people a month? Yes SmartReach cheaper at each published tier No Small list: weigh users and inboxes One sender: SmartReach Basic, $29, 1 user A team with several inboxes: Instantly Growth, $47, accounts unlimited
Three questions that separate the two, using only facts from the two pricing pages.

SmartReach.io suits a team that wants calls and LinkedIn in the same campaigns, or one working large prospect lists on a budget: from 25,000 people a month up it is cheaper at every published tier, with unlimited users on every plan above Basic. Instantly suits a team that runs many inboxes and wants every one of them warmed without counting, since its warmup is unlimited from the $47 Growth plan, and one that wants a large lead database from the same vendor.

For a pre-revenue startup sending alone, the cheapest credible start is SmartReach's Email Outreach Basic at $29 a month, or $26 billed yearly, with 10,000 emails a month for one user; the trade is no inbox rotation or integrations until Plus. Founders also weighing Saleshandy will find that pair in Saleshandy vs SmartReach.io, and the wider field in the best SmartReach.io alternatives.

    Getting Started Checklist

Before-and-after steps: Getting Started Checklist (Define cold email, Estimate expected email, List integrations, Sign up)

    1. Count the people you plan to reach each month. It sets the tier on both ladders, under different counting rules.
    2. Count the inboxes you need warmed. Instantly warms any number from Growth up; SmartReach counts warmup accounts per plan.
    3. Decide whether calls and LinkedIn belong in the same tool. If they do, compare against SmartReach's Sales Engagement tab, not Email Outreach.
    4. Check the CRM you run against each vendor's list: Salesforce and Zoho appear on SmartReach's pages, HubSpot on both.
    5. Use SmartReach's 14-day trial on a real 200-prospect segment chosen in advance.
    6. Price yearly billing last: SmartReach's annual plans are up to 11% less, Instantly's Growth and Hypergrowth a fifth less.

    Final thoughts

On list price SmartReach.io is the cheaper tool at every published tier, $29 against $47 at entry and $199 against $358 at 100,000 people, and it is the one that adds calls and LinkedIn. Instantly earns its higher price where its meters are generous: unlimited email accounts and unlimited warmup from the first plan. Choose by the thing you have most of. Many people to reach points to SmartReach; many inboxes to warm points to Instantly. If you would rather hand the sending side to a team that runs it, start with a free campaign.
