    The short answer

Apollo.io is an all-in-one platform at $49 a seat a month billed annually, with 30,000 credits per seat granted upfront for the year and a sequencer included. LeadIQ is a capture layer from $200 a month on a public credit slider, with no sending of its own and a five-user ceiling on Pro.

    Key takeaways

    • Apollo.io grants credits per seat per year rather than per month: 30,000 on Basic, 48,000 on Professional, 72,000 on Organization, all granted upfront.
    • LeadIQ Pro is capped at five users, so a sixth person moves the deal to Enterprise, which its page marks as annual plan only.
    • Apollo.io includes sequencing, dialling and deliverability tooling; LeadIQ includes none of that and integrates with Outreach and SalesLoft instead.
    • LeadIQ charges 10 credits for a phone number and 11 for an email and phone together, so the headline $200 rarely describes a phone-heavy plan.

Apollo.io vs LeadIQ: Data Enrichment Tool Comparison

Apollo.io's Basic plan grants 30,000 credits per seat for a whole year, upfront, and includes a sequencer. LeadIQ's Pro plan grants a monthly credit pool, includes no sending layer at all, and expects you to already own Outreach, SalesLoft or Gmail. One of those is a platform decision and the other is a component decision.

That is the real fork here, and it survives every feature comparison. The question to answer first is whether you want your data vendor and your sending vendor to be the same company; the feature counts follow from that.

    The Short Answer

Apollo.io is a platform: a large contact database, a sequencer, a dialler and deliverability tooling for $49 a seat a month billed annually, with 30,000 credits per seat granted upfront for the year. LeadIQ is a component: capture, verified mobiles, AI drafting and champion tracking, from $200 a month on a public credit slider, with no sending layer at all.

If you have no sequencer, Apollo.io is the cheaper whole answer. If you have one you trust, LeadIQ is the sharper tool for the ten seconds that matter.

    What Each Tool Actually Is

Apollo.io is an all-in-one sales platform: a large contact database with sequencing, dialling, deal management and deliverability tooling in the same subscription.

LeadIQ is a prospecting layer: capture, verified emails and mobiles, AI drafting and champion tracking, deliberately handing the send to a tool you already run.

Apollo.io prices per seat and grants the year's credits at once, so its meter is annual and its unit is a seat. LeadIQ prices a pool per month with the slider deciding the size, caps Pro at five users, and puts Enterprise on an annual-only plan. Ten reps on Apollo Basic is ten seats and 300,000 credits for the year; ten reps on LeadIQ is a conversation with sales.

The bundling is the second difference and it is easy to overvalue. Apollo's sequencer, warmup and deliverability suite matter if you intend to send from Apollo. If your sending already lives somewhere else and works, you are paying for a second one, and the credits are the part you actually wanted.

Organization$119/mo72,000 credits per seat per year, granted upfrontPer seat, 3 seat minimum, billed annually

Apollo.io's pricing page prices per seat and grants credits per seat per year rather than per month. Basic at $49 a seat a month carries 30,000 credits for the year, granted upfront; Professional at $79 carries 48,000; Organization at $119 carries 72,000 and needs three seats minimum. The page shows those rates under its annual toggle and advertises 24 percent off for choosing it.

Granting the year's credits upfront is the detail that changes planning. A team that burns 20,000 credits in its first fortnight has spent two thirds of the year's Basic allowance and pays for more, which is a different failure mode from running out on the 28th of a monthly plan.

    Pro$200/moSlider from 200 to 6,750 credits/monthUp to 5 users
    EnterpriseContact usCustomCustom, annual plan only

LeadIQ's pricing page carries a slider rather than a ladder. Pro shows $200 a month against the slider's opening position of 200 credits a month, and the positions run 200, 500, 1,000, 1,500, 2,000, 2,500, 3,000, 3,500, 4,000, 4,500, 5,500 and 6,750 before handing over to Enterprise. Annual billing is priced at 25 percent off, Enterprise is annual only, and every plan carries a 30-day trial.

The credit table is where the real pricing lives. LeadIQ's page prices an email at 1 credit, a phone number at 10, an email and phone together at 11, and an account enrichment at 3. A phone number therefore costs ten times an email address on the same meter, so a team that dials is spending its allowance an order of magnitude faster than a team that only emails.

What five reps cost for a year on each

The arithmetic below is invented for illustration. The unit prices are each vendor's own; the team size and the usage pattern are made up.

Five reps on Apollo.io Basic at $49 a seat a month, billed annually, is $245 a month and 150,000 credits for the year granted upfront. Split evenly that is 2,500 credits a rep a month, which for email-only lookups is a lot of prospecting. Move the same five to Professional at $79 and it is $395 a month against 240,000 credits.

Five reps is also exactly the ceiling of LeadIQ Pro, which lists up to 5 users. At the slider's opening 200-credit position the page shows $200 a month, and 200 credits across five reps is 40 email lookups each. A team of five doing real volume is therefore buying a much higher slider position, and the comparison stops being $200 against $245 well before anybody sends anything.

The credit definitions do not line up either, which is why no single ratio settles this. LeadIQ charges 10 credits for a phone number and 11 for an email and phone together; Apollo runs export credits alongside its lookup credits and publishes a fair use policy on its unlimited plans. Compare the two on the specific mix you actually need rather than on headline credit counts.

    Who Should Pick Which

Pick Apollo.io if you want one bill and one login, and if you are willing to run your sending inside the same platform that supplies the data. It is the stronger choice for a team that does not already own a sequencer, and its per-seat annual credit grant is genuinely generous next to anything metered monthly.

Pick LeadIQ if your sending stack is settled and good. Its value is concentrated in the ten seconds between seeing a person on LinkedIn and having them, correctly enriched, inside the sequence you already trust. Champion tracking is the other reason to pay the premium: it tells you when a contact who liked you moves to a company that does not know you yet.

One house note on the bundled sequencer, since it changes the value of the bundle. We send one message per campaign and never bump a thread, so a large part of what a sequencer adds is machinery we do not use. If you run outbound the same way, price Apollo on its data and treat the sending layer as a bonus rather than as half the product.

A "yes" leans Apollo.io, a "no" leans LeadIQ
    • No: You already pay for Outreach, SalesLoft or a sequencer you like
    • Yes: You want one vendor for data and sending
    • Yes: More than five people need seats
    • No: Reps prospect directly from Sales Navigator all day
    • Yes: You want the year of credits granted upfront
    • No: Job-change alerts on past champions would change your pipeline
The six questions that actually separate these two, in the order they tend to matter.

The feature lists are not the same length by accident. Apollo's covers a whole go-to-market platform, including anonymous visitor identification, pipeline boards and CRM data cleansing, which are things a data vendor would not normally sell you. LeadIQ's ten are all within arm's reach of one rep's browser. Judge them by how many you would actually turn on.

    Integration Ecosystem

    Section illustration: Integration Ecosystem

Apollo.io connects with: Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, SalesLoft, Marketo, SendGrid, LinkedIn.

LeadIQ connects with: Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, SalesLoft, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gmail, Zapier.

Both connect to Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach and SalesLoft, which covers most stacks. The interesting entries are the ones only one side lists: Apollo carries SendGrid and Marketo, which are sending and marketing automation; LeadIQ carries Gong and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, which are conversation and sourcing. Each list points back at what the tool thinks it is.

Where Each One Sits In A Cold Outbound Stack

Apollo.io is the all-in-one end: a database plus a sending and sequencing layer in the same subscription. LeadIQ is a capture-and-personalise layer that sits between Sales Navigator and whatever sequencer you already run.

Apollo.io can be the whole stack, which is its strongest argument and its biggest risk. One vendor holding data, sending and deal management means one renewal conversation with all your leverage in it, and one outage that stops everything.

LeadIQ is deliberately a layer, so it assumes a sequencer underneath. Ours sends one message per campaign with no bumps and no thread replies, which means a large part of what Apollo's sequencer adds is machinery we never turn on. Price the platform on its data if you run outbound the same way.

    Switching Between Them

Apollo.io to LeadIQ is the harder direction, because you are unbundling. Stand the sequencer up first and prove it sends, then move sourcing, then cancel Apollo. Doing it in the other order leaves a week with data and no way to reach it. Apollo's upfront annual credits also mean an early cancellation forfeits credits you have already paid for, so time the switch to a renewal.

LeadIQ to Apollo.io is mostly additive and can be run in parallel for a month. Watch for duplicate records arriving in the CRM from both tools during the overlap, and turn LeadIQ's CRM sync off before Apollo's goes on rather than after.

    Getting Started

    Section illustration: Getting Started Checklist

    1. Decide first whether you are replacing a sequencer. That answer settles most of this comparison before any trial starts.
    2. If you are, price Apollo.io per seat for the whole team and compare against your current data plus sending bill combined.
    3. If you are not, move LeadIQ's slider to your real monthly volume and compare that number against Apollo's data value alone.
    4. Count the seats. LeadIQ Pro tops out at five users, so a sixth person changes the shape of the deal.
    5. Run both free tiers for a fortnight and count how many days each extension was actually opened.

    Final Thoughts

Apollo.io is the better buy for a team that wants the whole motion in one place and has nobody defending an existing sequencer. LeadIQ is the better buy for a small, senior team whose sending is already solved and whose bottleneck is getting the right person into it accurately.

Both publish a free tier that is enough to answer the real question, which is whether your reps will use the extension every day. Run both for a fortnight and count how often each one is opened.

If you would rather have this run for you, RevenueFlow books qualified meetings on a pay-per-meeting basis and publishes client results.

Pricing and features are taken from the vendors' own pages. Verify current terms with the vendor before relying on them.

    Questions

    Frequently asked questions.

    Frequently asked questions
Does Apollo remove the need for a separate sequencer?
No, and that is most of its value. Apollo.io includes sequencing, an email warmup and deliverability suite, and a dialler in the same subscription. LeadIQ deliberately includes none of those and expects Outreach, SalesLoft or Gmail underneath, so the fair comparison is Apollo against LeadIQ plus whatever you send from.
What happens when the credits run out early?
Apollo.io grants the whole year of credits upfront on its paid tiers, so a team that spends 20,000 of a 30,000 Basic allowance in its first fortnight buys more rather than waiting for a monthly reset. LeadIQ meters monthly against its slider, so running out means waiting or moving the slider up.
Which suits a team of five?
Five is exactly LeadIQ Pro ceiling, which its page lists as up to 5 users, so that team is at a boundary. Five Apollo.io Basic seats is $245 a month billed annually with 150,000 credits for the year. Compare that against the LeadIQ slider position five people actually need rather than its entry price.
Does the bundled sequencer matter for a single-message campaign?
Less than the feature list suggests. A campaign that sends a single message with no bumps and no thread replies uses very little of what a sequencer adds, so price Apollo.io on its data and treat the sending layer as a bonus. That reading narrows the gap between the two considerably.
